We are excited to let you know that the new Essex Open Data website has gone live. We invite you to explore the current data sets and documents already available and let us know if you have ideas about what else you would like to see in the future. The new site can be found at data.essex.gov.uk
We hold a wealth of information on multiple subjects, from population statistics to organisation strategies, but we want to get better at sharing this and making it accessible to all. With the new site we are looking to breakdown some of these barriers, share knowledge and help staff, organisations and communities to use data to make better evidence based decisions, as well as stimulating innovation across Essex.
The platform is supplied by Data Press who have done some fantastic work with other organisations, and we will be working closely with them as we continue to develop the site as part of a wider ‘Open Data’ agenda.
Watch this space for more datasets as well as a range of insight, research and publications as the platform is developed further over the coming year.
